T.A. health workers share an Advent Message in Pandemic Times
“Come Lord Jesus, in this pandemic times”, heath workers connected to the Teresian Association say in their Advent Message.
“Come and teach us how to slow down and contemplate, to stay on and build things up again”, they implore.
“Come and teach us to see death and the dying, to bless each of Your creatures that are preparing to meet You, and to know that life always prevails. “. Together they express the desire that “our eyes be Your eyes, our hands Your hands, our words Your Word, the only word that heals wounds with golden tenderness and mercy”.

It is a tradition in the Teresian Association to proclaim an Advent Message in order to unite all those who follow the ‘Povedan Way’ in the preparation of the coming of the Lord. In this year that the whole world experiences the loss of many loved one because of Covid19, the group of associates that work in the health field are the ones writing the Advent Reflection.
They are doing it drawing from their close experience of accompanying those who suffer. They also do it motivated by their faith and imploring Jesus to be specially present through them, as they try to serve so that “no one feels alone, so that everyone can see a smile behind the mask, in the eyes of all those who draw near to give care.

They offer words of Pope Francis in his last letter Fratelli Tutti, in which the Holy Father makes a call to make true the fraternity of the human race, and remembering how, through their witness, “doctors, nurses, pharmacists, storekeepers and supermarket workers, cleaning personnel, caretakers, transport workers, men and women working to provide essential services and public safety, volunteers, priests and religious… They understood that no one is saved alone.
