CHICAGO.- Today, December 13, the whole world is united in prayer for Pope Francis as he celebrates 50 years of priesthood. The Pope´s Vicar for the city of Rome, Monsignor De Donatis, has reminded the faithful that Pope Francis constantly requests for prayers at the end of his addresses saying: ‘Please, don’t forget to pray for me.’
He does so every Sunday of the Angelus, prayed from the window of the Vatican. This is why “ the church of Rome has asked for prayers for the Pope. On december 17th Pope Francis will celebrate his birthday. He will become 83 years old. May the Lord make him holy and strong in mind, body and spirit to continue leading the Catholic Church.
